Summary

Switch server vision model from deprecated gemini-2.0-flash (free-tier limit 0) to gemini-2.5-flash (matches pre-#34 browser client). Override via GEMINI_VISION_MODEL env var.
Map Gemini misconfig/quota/denial and missing scan tables to 502/503 responses with actionable text.
Show API error message in scanner UI instead of generic "Scan identify failed: 500".
Make logScanAttempt best-effort so missing telemetry tables do not block scans.

Operator follow-up (required for scans to work)

After merge, confirm Vercel Production + Preview have GEMINI_AI_API_KEY set. If the pre-#34 key was exposed, Google may have restricted the project — create a new key in a fresh Google AI Studio project and update Vercel + .env.local.

npm run test:run — 21/21
Scanner shows readable error if Gemini quota/denied
Scan succeeds after fresh API key + redeploy
